Coatings Gone. QR Code Perfectly Safe. ✅

Sometimes you run a demo and it feels like just another day at the shop… and then other times you uncover a little surprise.

That’s what happened when we put our A-LUX 1000W-PW PulseWave laser on a heavy-duty hammer union joint from the oil & gas world. The goal? Blast off all the junk—coatings, oxides, grease, and the gooey anti-seize paste slathered on the threads.

And the laser did exactly that. Layers just peeled away in real time. Satisfying. But then—plot twist—something started peeking out from under the grime.

Yep, a QR code.

Wait, what’s a QR code doing there?

Manufacturers often mark parts with QR codes so you can scan them for specs, batch numbers, service logs, that kind of thing. It’s super handy for traceability… but here’s the catch: most cleaning methods would have shredded that marking along with the mess.

A sandblaster? Gone.Chemical bath? Likely gone.Even some lasers would’ve fried it off.

But not the A-LUX. Our beam stripped everything around it and left the QR code sitting there like, “Yeah, I’m good. Still scannable, thanks for asking.”

The “Find the QR Code” Game 👀

So in the video we made this a little interactive. As the coatings disappear, we ask:👉 Can you spot the QR code before it’s obvious?

It’s like a Where’s Waldo moment, but with lasers and oilfield hardware.

Why This Matters (Besides Being Kinda Fun)

Sure, watching a QR code appear out of nowhere is cool, but it also proves a point: A-LUX lasers clean with precision. We’re not just blasting away everything in sight. We’re targeting oxides, coatings, and grease—while protecting the information and markings that matter.

That means your parts stay clean, functional, and traceable. No lost markings. No mystery components. No guessing.

Final Thoughts

So yeah, maybe it felt like a little game at first… but the bigger story is this:

  • A-LUX lasers don’t just clean—they clean smart.

  • You can trust them for the tough jobs without worrying about destroying what’s underneath.

  • And yes, QR codes (and your traceability) are safe with us.

Now go check out the video, play along, and see if you can spot the code before we do.
