Introducing the A-LUX RA Ascender: Lift & Rig Ready. Built for Work at Height.

Industrial cleaning does not always happen at ground level. On a tank, tower, elevated structure, or offshore asset, getting equipment into position is part of the job.
Argento Lux is proud to introduce the A-LUX RA Ascender series: compact, air-cooled laser cleaning systems designed specifically for rope-access and elevated industrial work. With 1000W pulsed and 2000W continuous-wave models, the Ascender brings two cleaning options to a platform built around access, lifting, and positioning.
Lift & Rig Ready. Purpose-Built Rope-Access Performance.
A compact platform for demanding access
Both RA Ascender models measure 32 inches long, 16 inches wide, and 32 inches high, with a listed system weight of approximately 125 pounds.
Air cooling removes the need for an integrated water chiller, while the narrow cabinet and wheeled base support movement and positioning. Integrated lifting provisions make elevated deployment part of the platform’s design.

For contractors planning cleaning work above grade, the equipment’s size and handling requirements matter alongside its cleaning capability.

Two models. Two approaches to the work.
A-LUX RA Ascender 1000W-PW — Pulsed laser cleaning
The RA 1000W-PW delivers 1,000 watts of pulsed laser power with a maximum scan width of 120 mm. It is the model to consider when controlled removal, heat input, and the desired surface finish guide the application.
Applications include rust and oxide removal, coating removal, weld preparation, and localized surface cleaning. The substrate, contamination, and required result determine the appropriate settings and process.
A-LUX RA Ascender 2000W-CW — Continuous-wave laser cleaning
The RA 2000W-CW delivers 2,000 watts of continuous-wave power with a maximum scan width of 300 mm. It is designed for removal work where productivity is a priority, including corrosion, industrial coatings, and surface preparation on suitable steel surfaces.
For larger cleaning areas and demanding maintenance tasks, the wider scan capability gives operators another option for matching the cleaning pattern to the work.
Choosing between the models starts with the application. Our team can evaluate your material, coating or contamination, required finish, and production goals to help identify the right fit.
Features built around the operator
The Ascender combines an aluminum chassis with practical features for elevated deployment:
Integrated lifting provisions for hoisting and positioning the system.
Detachable operator display for accessing controls away from the main cabinet.
Dedicated secondary equipment-arrest connection for use within the equipment’s rigging and securing arrangement.
110V auxiliary outlet for compatible supporting equipment.
The auxiliary outlet supplies accessories; it is separate from the laser system’s main power requirements.
Both models also feature a dual-axis scanning head, eight preset patterns, and a 7-inch LCD interface.
Built for industrial maintenance at height
The RA Ascender is designed for contractors working around tanks, vessels, elevated piping, structural steel, marine infrastructure, and offshore or petrochemical facilities.
Laser cleaning targets unwanted surface material without adding abrasive blasting media or chemical stripping agents. The cleaning process still requires suitable collection and extraction for the material being removed.
Both models use ambient air for cooling, with a listed operating range of 32°F to 104°F. Access, environmental conditions, and the cleaning application all factor into selecting and deploying the system.
Training and support from A-LUX
Our owner training helps operators understand laser controls, cleaning parameters, operating procedures, and work-area safeguards. The Argento Lux team in Alvarado, Texas provides guidance before purchase and ongoing assistance as customers put their equipment to work.
A-LUX systems carry a two-year limited warranty for the original purchaser, subject to the supplied terms, along with lifetime after-sales support.
